Update on Smoked

Today is National Superhero Day, so – since much of my writing is about superheroes – I thought it appropriate to post an update about the Smokescreen novel (working title: Smoked).

Now the image you see here is an early render of the cover. Let me stress again: this is an early render and not the final.

With that understood, I think my cover artist did a fantastic job of displaying the character’s transition from human form to smoke. (Just between us chickens, I tried my hand at it – just to get the concept on paper – and the result was absolutely horrendous. And that’s being complimentary…)

As to the novel itself, I had expected to be done a while back, so I am way, way behind in terms of completion. Basically, I’ve been buried under a pile of non-writing issues for a while. However, I think I’ve finally got some breathing room, so I’m hoping to finish the book next month.

Of course, that doesn’t mean it will be published then, as it still needs to be edited, formatted, etc. In that regard, we’re probably looking at a June release date, but much depends on how fast my editor and formatting guy can do their work after I get the book to them.

When that’s done, I’ll be diving into Kid Sensation #10 (working title Expiation). Since I’ve actually already started on that one, the plan is to hit the ground running. Following that I believe the Vixen novel is on deck.

In other news, I’m still learning the ropes with respect to TikTok. If anyone’s interested, here’s a link to one of my TikTok videos. (And if you find it entertaining, please feel free to check out my other TikToks. Also, if you like them, please consider supporting me with a like, share, or follow. Thanks!)

Finally, if you’re on the prowl for a new read and haven’t had a chance to do so yet, please check out my Kindle Vella story Glimmerblade – first three episodes are FREE!

Thanks again for all your support and have a great weekend!
