Resolved Printer Issues, and New Chapter of Glimmerblade

First, I just posted Chapter 16 of Glimmerblade. Needless to say, I’m always excited about putting out a new chapter of the story.

Next, for those who might be interested in whether my printer issues got resolved, I’m happy to report that they did. Moreover, I was able to do it with one of the cheap printhead cleaning kits:

To be clear, I didn’t go the cheap route because I’m a skinflint; it just didn’t seem to be a problem that required an expensive solution.

That said, I had to order the kit from Amazon; nobody local had it in stock. I’m talking Office Depot, Best Buy, etc. (which meant I had to order it from somewhere, regardless).

And by local, I mean some store close to me. I suppose someone on the other side of town could have had it, but I wasn’t about to drive all over the place only to be told once I got there that they actually don’t have it. Believe it or not, that’s happened to me before: I went to a retailer to get an item which, according to their online listing, they had on the shelf. When I got there, it wasn’t on the shelf, and one of the store clerks checked and said they didn’t have it in the back. Simply put, they didn’t have it at all.

The clerk apologized for the online inventory being incorrect – and it obviously wasn’t his fault – but that didn’t do anything for me in terms of time and energy wasted. But since then I try not to put a lot of effort into cross-town snipe hunts.

Anyway, the good news is that the Hardmans have a working printer again – and I managed it without getting ink all over myself. And, most importantly, without having to buy a new printer…
