It’s probably something that’s more newsworthy among authors, but about a year ago, Audible began rolling out a new royalty model. Included in the new structure is what Audible has dubbed its “All You Can Listen” (ACYL) program, which is exactly what it sounds like: those with an audible subscription can listen to certain titles for free.
Always willing to try new things, I opted a few of my titles into AYCL – specifically, the first book in each of my scifi/fantasy series: Sensation, Terminus, and Warden (Book 1: Wendigo Fever). Now listeners who may not be familiar with my work will have a chance to sample it, so to speak.
Moving on, I just posted Chapter 14 of Glimmerblade. When I was posting on Kindle Vella, authors were encouraged to provide comments to their stories. I was tempted to do the same here, but ultimately decided I’d just let readers enjoy the story rather than clutter things up with my thoughts. (And, needless to say, my thoughts can be pretty cluttered…)
