So with any luck, we’re maybe within a month of the next Kid Sensation book being released. That said, much of the timing depends on when I get the manuscript back from my editor, how long it takes me to review it, etc. Nevertheless, I thought it would be fun to post another short excerpt, so here you go:

Mariner chuckled. “There’s an old saying among our kind: Incarnates don’t have enemies.”
I frowned. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
“Enemy implies an adversary,” Endow explained. “Someone or something capable of competing with you or doing you harm. Gamma was an Incarnate.”
“And because almost nothing can harm an Incarnate, you don’t have enemies,” I concluded. “There’s a fallacy in that logic, but we’ll come back to that. For now, though, I’ll phrase the question a little differently: who didn’t like her?”
“She wielded almost limitless power for eons,” said an odd, almost robotic voice. “There would be many who did not like her.”
I looked around in bewilderment. I hadn’t seen anyone speak. In addition, the voice had seemed to come from all around us.
I reached out to Rune telepathically. <What the hell was that?>
<Reverb,> he responded. <He speaks by taking ambient sound – the rustle of cloth, the squeak of a chair, even breath sounds – and playing around with things like modulation and tonality until he obtains a reverberation approximating the word he wants.>
<Seems like a lot of work,> I surmised. <Why doesn’t he just speak?>
<Because the sound of his voice would kill you.>
Oh god no…… I hope I am wrong but the book is gonna take a few more months to get done right?? because if the book is gonna release in maybe one or two weeks, then there is no point in posting the extract. So I think we have to wait a bit more longer for the book. I will wait.. I mean I have to…. who told me to love the series so much!!! 😉 🙂 😉
No, as I mentioned, I’m hoping to hit “Publish” within a month. But if posting an excerpt from Incarnation is problematic because of an upcoming release date, I guess that means I have no time to post one from Isolation (Kid Sensation #8).
Are you hinting at what I am thinking? Is Isolation(Kid Sensation #8) is gonna be published soon after Incarnation?? Is there gonna be a double treat in the year 2019?? Thank You sooo much! I always look forward to your books.
If Isolation is published soon after Incarnation, wouldn’t that be a triple treat? (After all, that would be Replication, Incarnation and Isolation make three…)
Just wanted to let you know that the books page for the kid sensation series is not up to date, it doesn’t have replication, and instead has a side story I think. But yeah, I was having trouble finding the 6th book.
Yeah, that’s on me. I’ve typically added books as soon as they’re published, but apparently I’ve gotten lax . It’ll be Job 1 as soon as I finish responding to comments.

LOL! Unfortunately, that’s not likely to happen due to Reverb’s physical attributes (which I guess readers won’t get a sense of until the book is published).
Is he made of sound ? Or maybe musical instruments possibly a sound recorder?

As Rune put it, an Incarnate is the physical embodiment of certain…powers. (I’m wary of going too much into detail because of information that will be revealed in future books. Readers will string me up if I give away too many spoilers.)
